This two day class will lead officers through the ideas of successful proactive policing.

Topics covered include; The importance of high level training, tactical care of critical injuries, patrol level management of sources of information within communities, proven high crime areas, officer safety, officer wellness, complexities of
conspiracies, current trends of criminal behavior, and the latest of drug trafficking.

“MURDER MONEY GANG” A case study on RICO

 

This class was developed from requests from officers and prosecutors that wanted to understand how to use the powerful statues of Racketeering against organized crime groups.  This case study will show how RICO laws were used to convict a violent street gang in Oklahoma.   

 

Students will be exposed to Oklahoma laws and jury instructions presented and proven at an actual trial in Oklahoma. The students will be shown the case from an investigative perspective. The students will understand when it would be appropriate to charge and file RICO charges and how to prepare a case for trial.
